Change can be uncomfortable, especially when it requires taking an honest look at the patterns that keep us stuck. I believe therapy should give you the space to feel heard and supported while also challenging you to make meaningful changes. Together, we’ll focus on where you are, what may be getting in your way, and what it will take to move toward the life you want.

Honest Conversations. Meaningful Change.

If you're looking for someone who will simply nod along while you talk, I'm probably not the best fit. I believe meaningful therapy comes from honest conversations, mutual respect, and a willingness to examine the patterns that keep us stuck. I'll support you, but I'll also challenge you when I think you're getting in your own way. Real growth often begins with the conversations we'd rather avoid.

I work primarily with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use concerns, and the challenges that often accompany involvement with the criminal justice system. Many of my clients are rebuilding after difficult life experiences, navigating legal issues, repairing relationships, or trying to create a life that looks different from the one they've been living. I also enjoy working with individuals from marginalized communities who have often felt misunderstood or overlooked by traditional systems.

My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based treatment. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Rather than spending every session focused on the past, we'll identify the thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that are affecting your life today and develop realistic strategies to move forward. Therapy isn't about becoming a different person—it's about becoming more aware of the choices you're making and learning how to make ones that better align with the life you want.

As both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, I understand the complex relationship between mental health, addiction, trauma, and the environments we live in. Recovery isn't simply about stopping a behavior; it's about changing the thinking, beliefs, and habits that make lasting change possible.

The therapeutic relationship matters. I don't believe you need someone who pretends to have all the answers. You need someone who will listen without judgment, be honest with you, recognize your strengths, and help you stay accountable to the goals you've set for yourself. My style is conversational, straightforward, and genuine. We'll celebrate progress, address setbacks without shame, and focus on building skills that continue to serve you long after therapy ends.

If that sounds like the kind of work you're looking for, I'd be glad to meet you.
